Go Roam is great for people like me who spend a lot of time abroad. However, signal coverage is better abroad than at home as the coverage in my area can be patchy.

Switched from EE to Three to get their half price data, represents a huge saving for me and even if EE has slightly better speeds in my area, it's not worth the extra £20 a month.

8GB for £8 a month on SIM only. Unbeatable.

Awful customer service. I've been with Three for the last couple of years and was pretty happy overall. I was due for an upgrade and to be honest the offers they gave me were crap. Basically less for more money, so I decided to cancel the old contract and take out a new one with them.
I got a good deal, a flagship phone and ended up paying £15 a month less. I wanted to port my old number across as I've had it for almost 10 years and my whole client list, services and updates are all linked to this number.
I was told it would take 24 hours, which then became 30 days and after several hours on hold, repeated promises that it would be done in 24 hours and now over a month later I've been told that it's not possible to do. The worst part is my daughter was stranded as the after-school club was cancelled and, despite assurances that texts would be forwarded on in the interim, had to walk home from school on her own and cross two main roads.
NOT happy at all and to top it off they give me a £10 credit as a courtesy, despite the fact I've lost several contracts in the last week alone.

Cheapest unlimited data plan I could find, very happy with the signal and download speeds so far in Manchester.

I get 8GB for £10 a month from Three. Good signal, decent enough speeds so very happy. Could probably get quicker off EE but 10 times more expensive.

They have no clue about customer service they palm you off, keep you on hold for hours and sometimes even cutting you off. I was even lied to several times. Jokes!

I'm on an 8GB for £9 plan. Very pleased with it, can't beat that sort of value. Saving me £12 per month compared to my old contract that only had 5GB.

I've had a very positive experience with Three so far. Far better value for money than my old network and coverage seems a lot better as I no longer experience grey areas of poor signal.
The customer service has been good, I've only messaged them once but they gave a quick and helpful response. It was easy enough to activate the sim and move over my number. Roaming also works smoothly - I've used it in Spain recently and my 4G was working as normal the whole time and with no extra cost.

Work and live in central London so picked up a 5G Deal from Three to use for my home broadband. Getting speeds that smash my previous BT line. Hopefully it continues.

Ordered their £9 SIM for 8Gb of data, can't beat it tbh. 4G most places and will be 5G when it rolls out at no extra charge.

Been using a 24GB preloaded data sim for 6 months now. Worked great in my iPad both in the UK and abroad. Will be getting another as soon as it's expired.

Picked up an unlimited data SIM for 11 quid a month. Unbeatable value and I get 4G most places. Can't fault them at all.

Been using a preloaded data sim from Three in my Audi MMI system, works perfectly, always got a strong connection for Google Maps and works in Europe too. Can't ask for more.

These jokers wanted a £100 deposit plus £50 upfront cost on an iPhone 8.
Thought no chance I am paying that, let's go in store see what they can do there. I got refused because I have an active application online. So went home, rang three and supposedly cancelled this online order but they still took money out of my account.

Moved to Three in September after being with O2 for about 10 years. Paying £9 a month for 4GB data which more than suits my needs, £5 cheaper than what O2 offered me so they lost my custom. Signal has been great so far both at home and abroad so I will be sticking with Three.

I'd been a long time O2 customer for around 10 years but decided to switch then they couldn't offer me the right sort of SIM only deal spinning me nonsense about being a better network and if I moved I'd suffer. I shopped around and ended up with Three paying £10 a month for 4GB data. Coverage been great so far both at home and abroad. App is decent too for checking usage. Happy with the switch.

I've been with Three for 5 years and have been really frustrated by my recent attempt to upgrade my phone. On the site, it says I can upgrade on the 8th of November which is the date the final bill was due to be taken by direct debit. I wanted to upgrade this week, so went onto the account and manually made the payment to Three. Three still wanted to charge us £39 for an early upgrade despite this which I think is crazy as we have made the payment which has cleared.
Then I found the phone won't be shipped until the 6th November anyway so basically paying 39 quid for a phone two days earlier. Although very polite, the woman on the phone failed to understand what I was saying. I’ve come off the phone thinking it is probably better to end the contract and just stick with this phone.

My girlfriend rang Three today for what should have been a short and simple call. She wanted to cancel her sim-only contract as she is moving to a new network.
But no, instead she had to deal with a salesperson offering her deals she didn't want for over half an hour, despite being told from the beginning of the call that she wanted to cancel the contract. Once he eventually conceded, she was transferred to the cancellation team.
The cancellation team agent then tried the exact same thing... She eventually managed to cancel the contract after almost an hour on the phone, for what should have been a 5-minute call at most.
This level of pressure tactics from customer service is absolutely disgusting.

Three certainly get their fair share of negative reviews but whenever I have had an issue their complaints team have always been efficient!

Purchasing a sim only contract from the Three website was straightforward. Once the sim arrived installation was simple. The sim was activated as soon as it was put into the mobile phone.
At initial testing, the data connection wasn’t the best. After going through the troubleshooting steps with the customer service, there was no improvement in the signal/data connection, even though the area was in Three's mobile coverage. Having the sim card installed for nearly a year, and the network showing no signs of improvement, it was time to leave. Customer service wasn’t great, and wasn’t in the UK. Cancelling wasn’t the easiest, but once done, it was a relief.

Three is my current sim car provider and I can safely say they are the best I have ever been with. My sim plan is only £18 a month for that I get 30GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and unlimited minutes. I am currently studying at university so I am on a tight budget for everything and this plan fits into my life perfectly. Any other student currently contemplating what provider to go to for a sim card should definitely consider Three as they are very cheap and still offer you a LOT of data.

I got a great deal on an iPhone 8, free next day delivery and as an unexpected perk, I can now use my phone in Europe as I would at home, and with the trip to Denmark looming, it couldn't have come at a better time.
I've only had to speak to customer services once, since I arranged the contract online, and the service was exemplary. Highly recommended. 10/10.

As a member of the deaf community, I must say that I am impressed with the accessibility services that Three provides. I have received great customer service through their website and their staff are always patient and understanding. Some mobile phone companies that I have dealt with in the past did not seem to have any consideration for people with disabilities, so it's great to see that this is a priority for Three. I have dealt with their customer service exclusively online and never experienced any issues. If any of my deaf friends complain of problems with their mobile phone company, I will certainly recommend that they switch to Three.
Three is one of the biggest mobile operators in the UK. They’re famous for their big data plans, as well as low priced data. For those who love being online, Three is a great choice for a service provider. If you’re not so into data though, Three might not be for you…
Before we go into detail about what Three has to offer, here are the essential pros and cons of going with Three as your mobile service provider:
Three get 97% coverage across the UK for both 3G and 4G. They do not, however, support 2G signals, though this shouldn’t be an issue unless you have a very old, basic mobile. You should check coverage in your local area using the coverage map on Three’s website just to be sure that you’re going to get good reception wherever you live.
Three offer tons of different options for those looking for mobile service. They have both contract and PAYG options.
Three offer two different contract options. The first of these is a 30-day rolling contract. This will renew automatically but can be cancelled at the end of any 30 day period, giving you more flexibility. The 30-day options are:
Alternatively, you can opt for a longer 12-month contract. This locks you into using Three for a longer time period, but prices tend to be slightly lower. The 12-month options are:
Notice that cheap plans with Three don’t contain very much, and are fairly expensive (low-cost carriers tend to have plans starting from £5, most of which are better deals than here). However, big data contracts are very reasonable with Three.
Three also has a simple pay as you go service. With Three PAYG you pay 3p per minute for calls, 2p per text, and 1p per mb of data used. However, if you’re a big phone user, you can also buy bundles that will give you better value for money. The available pay as you go bundles from Three are:
Three’s PAYG bundles are valid for 30 days (or 90 days in the case of the large unlimited data bundle). PAYG credit does not expire with Three, though you’ll need to use your phone once every six months to keep your SIM card active.
Three do offer several extras and features that are worthy of note:
All of Three’s plans (including PAYG) include free roaming in 71 destinations across the world. Check Three’s website for a full list of included countries.
Some of Three’s contracts include Go Binge (the ones that don’t are marked above, and this does NOT apply to PAYG customers). This means that any data used on Netflix, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Deezer, and TVPlayer will NOT be deducted from your monthly limit.
If you download the Wuntu app (exclusive to Three) you’ll be eligible for different rewards every week. Rewards include discounts on cinema tickets and restaurant vouchers.
Low-level contracts with Three do not compare favourably with other networks. Three’s cheapest contracts contain lower limits and more expensive prices than low-cost carriers like GiffGaff and iD Mobile. For example, Three’s cheapest contract gets you 200 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500 mb of data for £9. However, you can get more or less the same deal for just £3.99 with iD Mobile. £10 with iD Mobile gets you a whopping 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and 9 GB of mobile data.
Upper-end contracts, on the other hand, are a much better deal with Three. That unlimited mobile data contract is unmatched anywhere else, as is the 100 GB data contract for just £20. Long story short, if you’re looking for big data, Three is a great deal. If you’re not, then it’s not.
When it comes to PAYG, Three’s rates are the lowest on the market. Add in a bundle, and Three have pretty much the same prices as most other major networks (£10 gets you 2 GB of data with Three, Vodafone, and EE, so no real difference). Big data bundles are, as you might expect, cheaper with Three than with anyone else. All in all, Three is a good deal for PAYG customers.
Three do allow you to buy a handset on contract. Currently, Three have a large range of phones available for every price point. Phone prices are on a par with all the other major operators, so don’t expect to save much money by buying your phone through Three.
Three does support WiFi calling in many phones, though you’ll need to check Three’s website to make sure your model of phone is supported. This means that you won’t need to rely on mobile reception or deduct minutes from your monthly limit to make calls as long as you’re on WiFi. Three do NOT, however, support free WiFi hotspots. So you’ll have to use mobile data whilst you’re out of the house, or rely on WiFi from cafes or restaurants.
Three does allow mobile tethering on all their plans (including PAYG), so feel free to use your mobile data to get other devices like tablets online.
If you’re looking for big data packages then Three is definitely the network for you. And if you’re looking for simple PAYG services with cheap rates then again, Three is a good choice. Three isn’t the best bet if you don’t want lots of data, and if you’re looking for a cheap contract option then you might want to look elsewhere.
