    About the Moto G

Motorola is synonymous with producing top quality phones packed with great features and the Moto G brings all of that and more. To top it all, the device is attractively priced for first time buyers or those with a lower budget.

    Design and Display

Moto G is a style statement. It comes loaded with removable shells at the back that can be found in a multitude of colors and varieties. Moreover, these shells have a solid rubberized grip making the Moto G safer than other devices as chances of slippage and falls are minimized. The device houses a 4.5 inch pristine display stretching to all sides of the phone making the real estate on this handset look bigger than it is. The screen provides a resolution of 1280 x 720 HD with 329 pixels per inch. These specs make the Moto G throw up sharp images and you will have absolutely no complaints regarding quality. With measurements of 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm and 143 grams in weight, Moto G fits snugly into the palm and feels light enough to go unnoticed in your pocket. Motorola seems to have hit the nail on the head in terms of providing the perfect balance between size, weight and strength of this device. Even though it feels light and easy to hold, the phone feels sturdy and robust.

    Hardware Inside

Moto G is not just a stylish device with a great display. It also provides the perfect combination of power and productivity through its spruced up hardware specs. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM which works perfectly for the device as it makes app loading snappy and navigation a breeze even with resource heavy items open on the phone. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has been the heart of many a phones and it is no different for the Moto G. This reliable OS keeps the Moto G ticking with a highly intuitive user experience for you to savor. Internal memory is a little on the short side with options of 8GB and 16GB only but there is a silver lining as Google Drive provides 50GB of free space for 2 years on the device.

The feature list of the Moto G is not restricted to what is inside the phone alone. It starts with the outer shells itself as you can easily swap them for trendy new colors depending on your mood of the day. If music is your passion, the Moto G will enthrall you with its sublime audio output which boasts of active noise cancellation, dedicated mic and ability to play multiple file formats in a jiffy. And thank god for the built in FM radio which is for some reason absent from most smartphones nowadays. You can enjoy your music on the move in whatever way you want with this awesome device. Since Motorola is now a Google company, you guessed it right. The Moto G makes the most of it with all of Google’s highly acclaimed mobile apps and services which make the handset a treat to use. Whether you are lost and looking for directions on Google Maps or just kicking back to enjoy some Youtube videos or pictures on Picassa, Moto G has everything sorted out for you. When excellent hardware is combined with lightning fast and easy to use software, the result is nothing short of sublime.

The Moto G is priced attractively and that is one of the reasons why you will not find a very high spec camera on it. With 5 megapixels on its rear, the camera on the device is more than adequate for photo and video recording purposes. It provides photos at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and includes great features like auto focus, LED flash, face detection, panorama mode and geo tagging to name a few. The front camera is perfect for video cons and selfies at 1.3 megapixels. Although full HD video recording is not possible, the Moto G does a good job with 720p video recording at 30 frames per second.

    Battery and Connectivity

For all the goodies inside it, the Moto G is able to stay up and about with a 2070 mAh Lithium ion battery. Now you might be thinking of some numbers for talk time and standby this battery would offer on the Moto G but none of you would guess that it can belt out a staggering 24 hours of talk time. With that kind of juice available, the Moto G would be an obvious choice for those addicted to the phone for voice calls. Connectivity options include all the regular suspects like Wi-Fi, WLAN, USB and advanced Bluetooth. The Moto G is all about bringing together the best combination of power and flair at an affordable price.

    Moto G Review

If you are looking for a budget phone, then this is for you. Motorola’s Moto G is the best budget phone money can buy. It has destroyed other budget phones since it came out. When it comes to value for money, there is no other phone on the planet that comes close to it.

Don’ be fooled into thinking this phone is low quality though, it has a wonderful screen and overall a great performance. Google have worked closely with Motorola on this one and updates are always around the corner. Hardware wise, the phone feels solid and the polycarbonate body gives it a robust feeling.

Negatives? The phone’s camera is a bit of a disappointment. There is no 4G and no option of extending the storage but these are all shortcomings that users can make-do with for the price in our opinion.
