The World’s Most Expensive Mobile Phones
We all know that top of the line mobiles these days can cost a pretty penny. With a brand new Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus or Huawei P30 Pro costing you over £900, and the latest iPhone XS Max going for well over £1000, you could be spending a small fortune on a new smartphone. But believe it or not, these aren't the most expensive mobiles that you can get your hands on. If you've got millions (yes, we said millions) to spend on a new gadget, then you should check out some of the models below. These are by far the most expensive mobile phones in the world!
The Falcon Supernova iPhone 6 Pink Diamond
Topping our list of the world’s most expensive phone is this, the Falcon Supernova iPhone 6 Pink Diamond. The phone itself belongs to Nita Ambani, the wife of Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani. It’s constructed from 24 carat gold, features pink diamond accents, and a huge diamond set into the backplate. It also comes with a platinum coating as well as top of the line security, said to make the phone itself completely unhackable. And the price tag? A mere £37 million. We’ll take two…
The Stuart Hughes Black Diamond iPhone 5
If you're looking at truly luxurious mobiles, then Stuart Hughes is the name to watch out for. Both of the top two most expensive mobiles in the world come from the British designer. This is an iPhone 5, with all the same specs: four-inch screen, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera. But you don't buy a phone like this for the specs.
Hand created, the Black Diamond iPhone took nine weeks to fashion. The chassis of the phone is made from solid gold, and the sides are encrusted with diamonds. The home button is a single, large, flawless deep cut black diamond. The final price tag? Around £9.6 million. Makes the price of that iPhone 6 Plus sound almost reasonable in comparison…
The Stuart Hughes Diamond Rose iPhone 4
In second place is another offering from Hughes, this time an iPhone 4 in girly pink. Specs on the iPhone 4 aren't great compared to most high class mobiles these days. You get a 3.5 inch screen, only a single core 1 GHz processor, a mere 512 MB of RAM and a 5 MP camera. Nothing to write home about there.
However, the Diamond Rose iPhone 4 is encrusted with around five hundred diamonds, including a large rose diamond placed on the home button. That's a lot of bling for one mobile. What'll it cost you? Only around £5.3 million. Yeah. Cheap at the price, right?
The Supreme Goldstriker iPhone 3G 32 GB
Yep, another iPhone, this time the older 3G model. It seems that Apple design really inspires designers to add their own personal touch- one that'll cost you a fair few pounds. The iPhone 3G has a 3.5 inch screen, a 412 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM and only a 2 MP camera. Not to worry though, the design will make up for those miserable specs.
There are 136 perfect diamonds on the Goldstriker, plus 271 grams of solid 22 carat gold, and a home button decorated with a solid 7.1 carat diamond. Oh, that's not all though, it does come in a pretty swish case as well, cut from a single block of stone decorated with Kashmir gold and lined with top grade animal skin. Sweet. And it's a bargain at a mere £2 million.
The iPhone 3G King's Button
Okay, okay, we're almost done with the iPhones. But the fourth most expensive mobile in the world is another iPhone 3G. Since you already know the far from impressive specs on the 3G maybe we should move on to what makes this Peter Aloisson model so special.
The casing of the King's Button is designed in solid 18 carat gold (using yellow, white and rose coloured metal), and the body is covered with 138 diamonds. The King's Button gets its name from the 6.6 carat white diamond placed over the home button. Fancy investing in one? It'll cost you to the tune of £1.5 million…
Honorable Mentions…
Whilst the top four expensive phones in the world are all designer branded models that are otherwise commonly available, the rest of the items that round out are list are specially made devices, meaning that you can't buy a cheaper normal guy version at your local operator store…
The GoldVish Le Million will cost you only around £800,000. The Swiss made phone is made from 18 carat white gold, and is encrusted with around 20 carats of diamonds. It's slim, sexy and definitely very, very sparkly.
The Diamond Crypto Smartphone is another creation from designer Peter Aloisson, and again will cost you around £800,000. Sure, it's got fifty diamonds (including 10 rare blue diamonds), but the real selling point of the Crypto is that it contains special software to protect against identity theft, blackmail and other Mafia-related risks of life…
If you're interested in something a little less pricey, then the Gresso Luxor Las Vegas Jackpot will set you back only around £600,000. With sapphire crystal buttons, 180 grams of solid gold and a back made from two hundred year old African wood, that price tag seems like a bargain to us.
If nothing else, all these luxury phones should at least make you feel a little better about dropping a few hundred pounds on your next mobile upgrade. And let's face it, you'll be getting way better performance and specs out of your average smartphone than you would out of any of these. Okay, we might be trying to make ourselves feel better about not being able to afford a million pound phone, but that doesn't mean it isn't true!
