Charlatans, make it very difficult to claim your cashback hoping you miss certain arbitrary dates, and awful customer service. Deals appear cheap but for a reason. Avoid if possible.

"Truly terrible experience."

Truly terrible experience. If I could give this company zero stars, I would.

Online they advertised a price, that was different from the small print in the paperwork they sent me and the bill that came a week later. When I called to cancel, they were terrible, the service was appalling, and when I asked to make a complaint, the “complaints team” was the same person I was talking to (at least that’s what she claimed). They told me it would take 14 days. I had to pay £10 to return the phone to them, they insist on insurance and that you cover the cost. They wouldn’t release my PAC code until days after they received the phone. Leaving me without my phone for 14 days. Do yourself a favour, do not go with this service, I’m pretty sure it’s a fraud.

"Advertising products they can’t supply"

I placed an order for an iPhone XR advertised on their website. They completed their security checks (for which they charged me £2.50?). I received confirmation that all was fine order had gone through and then the next day they just sent an email stating the item had been incorrectly displayed due to a system error and my order was cancelled at my request! Shabby way to operate, avoid.

"Mis-sold"

Oredered a phone from them was promised next day delivery as I ordered before the deadline for next day delivery. However the next day I received an email saying that the phone I ordered was out of stock but on the website it said it was in stock which was one of the reasons I got it from them. The only information I got was it was expected to be delivered in 1-2 days now over a week and nothing no updates or emails.

Amazing service. Everything arrived on time, customer service top of the range. Others should learn how to run this type of business from them. Keep up with the good work.

"Incompetent"

I go online to change my contract and they ask me for my current number as I would like to keep it. The contract arrives with a new number therefore not changing my contract from my old to my new contract but doubling the costs. So I return the mobile within 14 days and having reset and detached from my iCloud they spend weeks telling me I am still attached, which I am not. After the third attempt at communication they finally agree that it is now detached, despite that happening weeks previously, and now the slow process of closing the account is finally happening. It has been so long since I sent the phone back I have now paid them for three months of the contract. Typical money grabbing company that looks after their interest and not the consumer’s. how is it justifiable to continue taking money when you are not even in possession of the phone or using the account?

"Great deal"

Cheaper than all the others on the market. I contacted EE directly and they could not match the Affordable Mobiles contract. The phone arrived quickly and I was texted details on my old phone on how to set my new one up. All good so far.

"Great service"

I got a great deal and received great service. Ordered 10 pm last night and it arrived at 1 pm today. Very good!

"Shocking customer service"

Spending 45 minutes to an hour on hold listening to the worst music I have ever heard isn't how I want to spend my day off!

Fantastic, faultless service. Placed order Monday evening 6.30pm, my EE account all up and running, tracking of delivery was great and delivered within the hour it said it was going to be on Tuesday afternoon. Really good deal with 30GB data, couldn't find anywhere else that beat it.

"Bit slow customer service"

Took a few emails to get answers as there was an unexpected and unknown delay to my order which was frustrating but happy with the product in the end and the deal I got.

Phone arrived next day, great value for money compared to directly from network providers. Will use them again.

Best pay as you go package deal by far. More Data than I need but the price is perfect for me.

Ordered the phone on Sunday evening along with some accessories - these were also discounted - everything arrived Tuesday Morning no hassle at all.

A really easy experience plus an amazing deal. I’ve got one of the best phones on the market and it a great contract deal that no other firm can come even close to.

"Next day delivery lies"

Ordered my phone with these guys before the next day delivery deadline assuming it would come next day. It didn’t turn up and in fact, it took 3 days to finally get in the phone in my possession. Very slow really and think this was a combination of both Affordable Mobiles not keeping their word and DPD being slow.

Had no issues with the phone, however.

"Phones not always in stock"

Decided to order an iPhone 6S in space grey. Was expecting delivery in about 2 days but got an email day after saying they were out of stock despite the site saying it was. I also wasn’t given clear information about when the phone would be in stock so ended up cancelling my order. Can’t comment further on them as never got the phone but was a bit more hassle than I would have liked.

"Avoid Cashback Deals but overall ok"

I got a phone from affordablemobiles.co.uk in late 2012. As part of the contract I took out I could claim cashback in various stages.

I have to say they make it very difficult to claim it back and make you jump few quite a few hoops. That almost makes it unviable really, I lost count of how much I spent on sending my bills via recorded delivery.

I did eventually get all my payments through but it was a lot of hassle. Based on my experience I would avoid doing a cashback deal with affordable mobiles.

In terms of the phone – no issues from me, it was delivered quickly and was exactly what I expected.

"New, low cost mobile phone deal"

Ordered my new phone on Sunday, arrived Tuesday with an added extra, a pad charger. The only issue I have is the BT Sports promotion that was offered seems not to work properly. Will definitely use Affordable Mobiles again

Ordered a Galaxy S9 @ 5pm and received it the following day @ 11:30. Very pleased with customer service and communication once ordered. Will be recommending!

"Good SIM Free Deals"

I wanted a SIM free iPhone that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg and I found the best deal online on Affordable Mobiles. I went for the iPhone 6S only paid £449.99. Although there was a mix-up with the delivery firm and the phone didn’t reach me the second day, as it was supposed to, I was super satisfied with the product when I finally got the order. I like that it takes a nano SIM and I could really feel the boost from the 3G I had on my old phone to the new 4G the iPhone has.

These guys have some of the cheapest deals available anywhere on the market, including through the providers direct. My new phone was in my hand less than 24 hours after I completed the transaction online, with no delivery fee. There was a spelling error in my name in the accompanying paperwork, but after less than ten minutes on the phone this was resolved to my satisfaction. Great selection, generous deals and lovely service. My wife and I will be return customers in the future, without a doubt.
